A joyful night in Argentina: the country’s upper house of parliament (Senado) voted some hours ago in favor of same-sex marriage, after a 15-hour debate that finished in the early morning, at exactly 4:05 am on July 15th. Indeed, ninety percent of the senators had  asked permission to present their arguments before voting. Thirty three senators voted in favor of same-sex marriage, 27 against and 2 abstained. (more...)
